UNICEF USA and the Gala Leadership is proud to present the 6th annual UNICEF Gala Houston to celebrate the outstanding humanitarian leaders who make our work possible. The evening’s event will raise critical funds for UNICEF’s lifesaving work and focus on bringing the community together to raise awareness of global and domestic issue that need our help. The evening would not be possible without the support of the Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation. Each year, the Margaret Alkek Williams Humanitarian Award commemorates the legacy of her extraordinary dedication to the health and well-being of children in Houston and around the world. As one of UNICEF’s largest fundraisers, the high profile black-tie evening has thus far raised over $4.7 million for UNICEF’s programs worldwide.

UNICEF Next Generation (NextGen) is a group of young (or young at heart!) leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators who commit their resources, resolve and enthusiasm toward supporting UNICEF’s lifesaving work. We study issues that affect children around the world and choose UNICEF projects to support through education, advocacy, skill sharing/remote volunteering and fundraising. We host a number of events and activities to mobilize our networks and inspire our peers and our entire generation to take action on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Become a part of the NextGen family by signing up here! As a NextGen member, you will be updated with the latest information about issues facing children and discover what you can do to make an impact. You will also be provided with opportunities to speak and meet with our inspiring UNICEF field-staff from over 150 different countries – through panel discussions, exclusive events, and more. Members are also invited to all of our Next Generation activities nationwide, UNICEF USA’s Annual meeting, and UNICEF’s flagship events.
